.....beacuse that person is on a 10 day retreat called "Summer Magic" in a remotely tucked away heaven of a place near Bangalore, India which happens to be the Art of Living International centre....NO! I haven't been paid to write this.....
*for all those of you who do not know about the Art of Living Organisation, kindly google it
*for all those who know about it but are not a part of it, kindly search your nearest centre and enroll yourself for a course(highly recommended)
*for all those who have done some course once but are too lazy too move their bum(Like me) to go to Bangalore, take my word for it and go there once...Trust me,you'll thank me for it(...like i thanked my friend who literally dragged me there..hehe)
*and for all the losers who think its all crap...well i can only pity you...
soooo....coming back to "summer magic"...summer + magic...
it was 'summer'...but not like what we have here in North India...it was beautiful...rainy....green...clear blue skies....wind blowing in your face..vast landscapes..awe-inspiring views....you get the picture...
and it was indeed "magic"...the kind you can't see...but can experience...magic created by Sri Sri Himself and Dinesh and Bawa...
I haven't had a better vacation in years.....it was 10 days of pure fun. relaxation, adventure, self-exploration and rejuvination(yes they have a spa too)....problems, worries, tensions were alien words.....2000 youngsters from all over the country buzzing with enthusiasm...and I was one of them...we were in a world of our own..where nothing else could matter...
Coming back from that magical place, I'm a different person.....i didn't achieve any personal goals, nor do i have a sudden awakening about the purpose of my life...BUT what i do have is happiness, calm, peace and a new perspective to life...all in a matter of 10 days...
and all beacause of a certain Sri Sri....

The rollercoaster ride we call "life"
Its amazing how your life can swing right from the bluest lows to the reddest highs.....all in the matter of a blink...its like someone up there is testing you...putting you at wits end....breaking you down to the brink of life's intense sadness.....and then finally, suddenly, marvelously surprising you with one Big Bang.....Just about when you are losing faith in every possible thing...shouting at yourself,"Dude, this life of yours is a complete loser!!!"....or worst case scenario "Why am I alive by the way?"....Its at those very moments that your life decides to take a u-turn, flip over , topple you up to some ecstatic sense of self achievement and sheer happiness.....I agree it doesn't take too long before the roller coaster dips into the slow-speed-gloom-mode again....But hey...its the hoola-hoops that actually make the roller coaster fun...rite??...So enjoy life for what it gives you...coz the slower you climb, the higher you reach and the faster you drop....oops!!..i mean the faster you progress...
(this Roller coaster-Life metaphor is getting a toll on me...I guess i better try the merry-go-round now....lol)
Cheers to life!!

By the way, Yeh kiski shadi par aye hain hum....???
What is that one word that gives jitters to most of us out there...whether married already, committed or single...
"marriage"
But well thats not what i'm gonna discuss here....What i believe that marriage is a solemn and sacred institution...a celebration of two uniting souls who pledge to spend the rest of their lives together...but these days its more like a celebration of the entire neighborhood...an unnecessary extravaganza including a ten thousand people...half of whom the bride and the groom don't even recognize!!!....The kind of moolah that we absolutely drain away in the name of a wedding might as well be put to some better use than spending 80% of it on people instead of the couple and the family. To me it feels as if we find a wedding an excuse to show off all our wealth in a span of 1 day. And as if that wasn't enough....a mere 5 hour wedding has transformed into week and fortnight-long sessions of food, drink and dance....all at the cost of the life long earnings of the families involved. The point I'm trying to make is...What is the use of this entire process??...Its not like if you have 5 functions before the wedding the couple will be blessed five times over...or is it ???...Its only the 6-7 hour "pheras" that would still be the defining moment...and trust me...no-one but the next of the kin is present there.....so why do we still bother gathering the crowd??
We, as Indians, have managed to find short cuts for every possible thing....But it seems that we simply love to sssttttttrrrreeeettttccccchhhh our Weddings....
Someday...maybe....We all will wake up to sensibilty, practicality and the sacred and cultural vaule of the "Big Fat Indain Wedding" legacy.
DISCLAIMER: For all those getting married within the next few months, Please DO NOT change your preset wedding plans after reading this, lest your parents(who have already funded the entire program) find out the cause of your sudden awakening and plan to kill me!!!!
lol....
